Nail Fish

Nail Fish (May 2003)

The Nail Fish was one of my earliest welding pieces.  I used Oxy-Acetylene and a very small tip (000 or 00).  The scales are made out of nails, hence the name "nail fish".  The nails have square heads and are the kind of nails that are used to nail down things like tarps and stuff.  The head tail and fins were cut using a plasma cutter.  If it isn't obvious, I modeled it after a salmon.
