Goofy Bird (June 2003)
The Goofy Bird is pretty much that. A big, goofy looking bird that is kind of a cross between a stork and the bird alien that hangs with Marvin the Martian in Bugs Bunny cartoons. He stands about 4 feet tall, and is another example of using a paper mockup to plan for the finished work. One of the interesting things about the polygonal body shape is that I tried to incorporate some interesting math. The dimensions of his body are sequential having lengths of 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 inches. Also, if you look closely at his feet, you can see that he was caught, "banded" and released.
